Río 2016 ya tiene su «Look of the Games»
RIO DE JANEIRO, 5 ago (Xinhua) — El «Look of the Games», la imagen que guiará toda la comunicación visual de los Juegos Olímpicos de Río de Janeiro 2016, fue revelado por el Comité Organizador del evento este martes, a exactos dos años de la ceremonia inaugural de la cita.
«Río 2016 serán los juegos de la gente, una celebración memorable como solo nosotros sabemos ofrecer. El punto de partida para la creación del «Look» fueron las marcas Río 2016, con su esencia de pasión y transformación, sus valores y atributos», explicó Beth Lula, directora de Marca de Río 2016, en una nota divulgada en la página oficial del evento.
El «Look of the Games», que no es logotipo de Río 2016, será usado en los productos oficiales, en las instalaciones deportivas en las entradas, en los uniformes de la fuerza de trabajo, tiendas, además de otras piezas de comunicación de los Juegos.
En la imagen diseñada con colores vibrantes, se pueden distinguir, en medio de trazos aparentemente imprecisos, algunos de los íconos más famosos de la «Ciudad Maravillosa», como el Cristo de Corcovado, el Pan de Azúcar o los Arcos de Lapa, así como otros elementos característicos del paisaje carioca, que serán fácilmente reconocidos por los brasileños y los visitantes extranjeros.
Según la nota, el proyecto, ideado por el equipo de diseño y gestión de marca del Comité Río 2016, llevó cerca de un año hasta ser concluido y se basó en estudios de los aspectos históricos y culturales más identificativos de Brasil que estuviesen presentes en Río de Janeiro.
Además de la marca principal, fueron creadas otras cuatro para las ciudades de Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte y Salvador que albergarán partidos del torneo olímpico de futbol que, tradicionalmente, se realiza en varias partes del país anfitrión.
La divulgación de la identidad visual de los próximos Juegos Olímpicos fue uno de los actos que marcaron la conmemoración de los 730 días que faltan para el inicio de los primeros Juegos Olímpicos a realizarse en Sudamérica.
La estatua del Cristo Redentor también participó en la celebración y estuvo iluminada esta noche con los colores de Brasil, azul, verde y amarillo, para marcar la fecha.
